Destroyer Type 1936 B

History

The main armament of the Zerstörer 1936B class was scaled back to single mounted 12.7 cm guns plus the anti-aircraft armament was enlarged. The power of this change was not proved in high seas as this sub-class solely operated in the Baltic and seacoast waters. Two ships were never finished, being scrapped following the war. The three that were designated were all lost.

The ships in this class were called.

Z-35, Z-36, Z-43, Z-44 and Z-45.
