Maass engage Polish forces Gryf Polish minelayer, Wicher Polish
destroyer, Polish coastal batteries at Hela. Leberecht Maass
sustained one hit.

The destroyer Wolfgang Zenker takes part in operation Weserübung
(Invasion of Denmark and Norway) along with Anton Schmitt,
Wilhlem Heidkamp, Diether von Roeder, Erich Giese, Erich Koellner,
Bernd von Arnim, Hans Lüdemann, Hermann Künne and
Georg Thiele.
13 April 1940
The destroyer Wolfgang Zenker is scuttled and sunk, undamaged
due to there being no ammuntion or fuel. Position 68°
25N 17° 55E.
