Torpedoboot 1923 Raubvogel

History

The six Raubvogel class of torpedo boat were from earlier designs and came into service in 1926 and 1927. They were the first to utilise electrical welding for hull manufacture to reduce displacement and they also brought in geared turbines. Throughout the Second World War these ships were designated as the Möwe class by the Royal Navy. Torpedo boats in this class were Möwe, Falke, Greif, Kondor, Albatros and Seeadler.
