The Henschel Hs 298 was a air to air missile. Designed and developed by Henschel und Sohn in 1944 under the leadership of Dr.-Ing. Herbert Alois Wagner.

The Henschel Hs 298 Was a mid-wing monoplane with tapered swept back wings, and it had a single horizontal stabiliser with twin vertical fins. It was powered by a 1 × Schmidding 109-543 solid fuel rocket engine producing up to kg of thrust. It used Kehl-Straßburg (designed and developed by Telefunken) system. guidance system which was powered by a propeller driven electric generator, which was contained in the nose of the missile, the Henschel Hs 298 required two controllers to guide it to its target. One controller, used a reflector type sight, to aim at the target the second controller used a joystick to control the missile and make any minor adjustments.

Testing was carried out on the Henschel Hs 298 using Ju 88 and Do 217 on 22 December 1944. It was planned to take this missile into full production in the early 1945. But the Henschel Hs 298 was dropped because of the Ruhrstahl X-4 missile
