History

The 7. Räumbootsflottille was formed in 15 October 1940 from the crews of the recently disbanded 11. Räumbootsflottille and was initially commanded by Bernd von Foerster, this flotilla was made up of the following 1937-43 Type R-boats and was deployed for minesweeping and security duties.

The surviving vessels from 7. Räumbootsflottille were transferred to Danish Navy.

The 7. Räumbootsflottille was transferred to Northern Norway.

The 7. Räumbootsflottille was deployed for minesweeping and security duties around the coastal waters of Northern Norway.

1945
The 7. Räumbootsflottille was under Allied control and used for clearing mines in the Northern Norway.

1946
The 7. Räumbootsflottille was under Allied control and used for clearing mines in the Denmark.

28 November 1946
The surviving vessels from 7. Räumbootsflottille were transferred to Danish Navy.
