The British Royal Air Force (RAF) Attacked oil targets at Rotterdam and Antwerp, Lorient was again raided. Wave after wave of bombers plastered German invasion ports and long-range gun positions.

The war against Italy, Cairo reported that concentration of British forces round Bardia was proceeding. Mobile detachments were clearing country to westwards. Patrols again active on frontier of Sudan and Kenya.

Lone Luftwaffe raider dropped bombs over Southampton in daylight. At night intensive raid made on town in South West England and hundreds of people rendered homeless.

The Greek war, Greeks pushing slowly but steadily ahead. Italians raided Greek naval base of Preveza and claimed to have hit a ship.
