Offensive sweeps over Occupied France. Night attack by Coastal Command against shipping and land targets on Norwegian coast.

Russian Front, Fierce battles still raged in the Vyazma and Orel sectors.

In Africa, The British Royal Air Force (RAF) attacked enemy shipping in Gulf of Sirte.

Luftwaffe Bombs dropped at two points in East England after dark. One Luftwaffe aircraft destroyed.
