Events On This Day

Russian Front, Soviet High Command reported no important change on any front. The Wehrmacht claim to have reached Black Sea and encircled Odessa not confirmed Russians admitted that evacuation of Smolensk had taken place.

In Africa, During night of 12-13 August 1941 the British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombed Bardia and Tripoli.

In the Mediterranean, Fleet Air Arm bombed aerodromes at Catania and Gerbini.

Few Luftwaffe bombs fell on Northeast coast of England.
