Events On This Day

The war against Italy, Derna captured by Imperial forces after sharp fighting.

The British Royal Air Force (RAF) Made heavy attacks on aerodrome at Barce.

In Eritrea concentration of British forces in Agordat-Barentu sector proceeded smoothly.

The British Royal Air Force (RAF) Bombed bridge on Mega-Neghelli road.

In Moyale area dive attacks were made on Italian artillery and infantry positions.

During the day single Luftwaffe aircraft dropped bombs in London area and in parts of Southeast England, East Anglia and East Midlands. No night raids.

Luftwaffe bomber shot down by fighters near Clacton-on-Sea. Luftwaffe fighters made concentrated attack on Dover balloon barrage.

The Greek War, Athens reported limited but successful activity at the front. Enemy still endeavouring to launch counter-offensive.
