In Netherlands, The British Admiralty announced that Dutch submarine had sank enemy supply ship in Mediterranean convoy. Heavy night raids on naval base at Kiel and targets at Hamburg and elsewhere in North West Germany. Kriegsmarine supply ships in fjord north of Bergen were bombed.

Russian Front, Moscow reported fierce fighting Kexholm, on Lake Ladoga, at Smolensk and in the Ukraine. Russian night bombers again reached outskirts of Berlin.

In the Mediterranean, The British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombed harbour at Catania, Sicily.
