The British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombers attacked a aerodrome at St. Valery-en-Caux and fired gas holder at Cayeaux, Coastal Command attacked shipping off Frisian Islands.

Russian Front. Russians reported extremely stubborn fighting on Kerch Peninsula.

In the Mediterranean. Seventeen enemy aircraft destroyed or damaged over Malta.

In Australasia. United States of America stated that their submarines in the Far East had sunk a Japanese destroyer and two cargo ships. Allied bombers attacked seaplane base in Louisiade Archipelago and shipping off Solomon Islands. Japanese continued to attack Port Moresby.

Pylons of Radio Paris long wave wireless station reported dynamited.

Eighth Air Force. The transport Andes B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers bomb Mingaladon and attack the docks in United Kingdom, carrying about 1,800 personnel for various Eighth Air Force units. This is first large shipment of Army Air Forces troops to United Kingdom.

Fifth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers attack shipping at Kessa in North Solomons while B-26 Marauder medium bombers hit seaplane base at Deboyne Island.
