The British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombers continue offensive sweeps over North France continued.

Russian Front, Fighting became heavier on the Finnish front.

In the Philippines, The Japanese announce the capture of the island of Cebu.

In Burma, Fierce fighting in the area of the Pichaung. There is an increasing threat to the Burma Road the route by which Allied supplies are sent to China, as Japanese columns converge south of Loikaw.

In the Indian Ocean, British planes raided Andamans.

In Australasia, heavy raids renewed by Allies against Rabaul.
