The British Royal Air Force (RAF) heavy bombers carried out a night raid on Munich and surrounding areas causing much damage.

In Libya. Axis air force bombers carried out an intensive raid on Benghazi.

In Australasia. United States of America tanks were in action against strong points at Bona.

Twelfth Air Force. Weather prevents B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers from bombing Sfax or secondary target, Gabes. P-38 Lightning fighters on scramble over Youks-les-Bains down 2 Ju 88's. P-40 fighters destroy a tank and several cars and trucks with trailers in Kairouan area. F4U Corsair fighter fly 3 photo reconnaissance missions over area between Bizerte and Gabes while C-47 Skytrain transport aircraft continue transport and courier missions.

Ninth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers of 93d Bomber Group abort mission against Sousse harbour due to weather. 6 The British Royal Air Force (RAF) Liberators, under IX Bomber Command control, attack the harbour, results are not observed. Light forces of British Eighth Army overtake enemy rearguard at Sirte and are halted temporarily.

Fifth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers attack vessels in Finschhafen harbour while B-24 Liberator heavy bombers carry out single bomber strikes on cargo ship North of Finschhafen and barges at mouth of the Mambare River and off Cape Ward Hunt.

Eleventh Air Force. 1 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers flies uneventful reconnaissance over Amchitka, Kiska, Semichis, and Attu. A B-24 Liberator heavy bombers and 2 P-38 Lightning fighters abort photo mission due to weather.
