The British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombers made daylight attack on power station at Comines, near Lille, and other objectives in North France.

Russian Front, No material change. Heavy fighting in Donetz sector and on the Kerch peninsula.

Far East, Heavy raid on Port Moresby. In Philippines, Corregidor raided by 54 Japanese heavy bombers, Three shot down. American Volunteer Group (AVG) bombers attacked enemy airfields at Chiengmai and Lambhun, in Siam. Chinese forces in Burma resisting Japanese drive to Toungoo.

Luftwaffe night raids over South Coast of England.

Formation of a General Staff for War Production announced.
