The British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombers carry out daylight raids over North France Night raids on Trondheim and Kiel.

Russian Front, Wehrmacht attack on Smolensk front repelled.

In the Mediterranean, Three daylight raids on Malta

In Africa, Many killed and injured in night raid on Alexandra

In Burma, Lashio heavily bombed by Japanese raiders. The Chinese 28th Division, at present at Mandalay, is sent urgently to Lashio, in imminent danger of capture by the Japanese. The Japanese, however, occupy Kehsi Mansam.

In the Philippines, The Japanese on Mindanao attack the defending forces mercilessly, to prevent them from concentrating and holding off the new landing force that is on its way.

In Australasia, More Japanese raids on Port Moresby. Allied bombers raided Lae Mr. Curtin revealed arrival of more United States reinforcements in Australia.

The Luftwaffe bombed the city of York in what are now called (The Baedeker Blitz or Baedeker raids were a series of Vergeltungsangriffe (retaliatory raids) by the Luftwaffe air force on English cities in response to the bombing of the Hanseatic League city of Lübeck during the night from 28-29 March 1942 during the Second World War) since the Germans officially claim to use this rating from the famous tourist guide as a way of selecting towns to be attacked.
