The British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombers made heavy attack on Gnome-Rhone Aero engine works and Goodrich rubber works near Paris.

Russian Front. The Wehrmacht ground forces attacks still held in lzyum-Barvenkovo sector.

In the Mediterranean. Catania again raided by the British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombers.

In Africa. Fierce fighting East of our main positions, British counter-attacks at Knightsbridge.

In Burma. United States of America heavy bombers raided Myitkyina aerodrome.

In China. Japanese occupy Kinhwa after bitter street fighting.

In Australasia. Allied airmen raided Dilli, Rabaul and seaplane base at Tulagi.

Seven Luftwaffe aircraft destroyed off Southeast and Northeast coast of England.

Prague announced execution of two Czech families following attack on Reinhard Tristan Eugen Heydrich.

Molotov, who has been in London since 20 May 1942 for talks with Mr. Churchill, flies to Washington for conference with Roosevelt and United States Joint Chiefs of Staff. These talks, which end 2 June 1942, deal mainly with the signing of a 20 year Anglo-Soviet treaty for collaboration, shipments of material to USSR, and a second front in 1942.

Tenth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) 4 heavy bombers hit Myitkyina airfield in high altitude strike. No activity is seen.
