Russian Front. Russians continued to repel all of the Wehrmacht's ground forces attacks in the factory sector in Stalingrad. The situation on other fronts remains stable.

In Australasia. Allied troop movements in readiness for counteroffensive which is to lead to the complete destruction of the enemy

Fifteen more Norwegians executed at Trondheim. Seventeen French shot at Lille for Bolshevism activity.

United States Army, Middle East Air Forces (USAMEAF). United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers score 7 direct hits on a tanker and 8 on fuel installations at Suda Bay. 66 P-40 fighters escort bombers over battle area West of El Alamein.

Eleventh Air Force. 3 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers taking off to bomb Kiska and patrol Near Island abort mission due to mechanical failure and instead fly reconnaissance over Agattu, Attu, and Semichi Islands with negative results.
