Krefeld 10 miles west of the Ruhr blasted by The British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombers,44 bombers missing out of more than 700.

Northwest African Air Forces (NAAF). Wellingtons bomb Naples during 20-21 June 1943. The following day, B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers hit Naples railroad yards, Salerno marshalling yard and trestle, Battipaglia marshalling yard, and Cancello Arnone air depot. Fighters fly patrol, reconnaissance, and convoy escort.

Ninth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers attack ferry terminal and surrounding areas at Villa San Giovanni, and harbour area and railroad yards at Reggio di Calabria. The British Royal Air Force (RAF) heavy bombers follow up with raids on same targets.

Fourteenth Air Force. 7 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, with escort of 8 P-40 fighters, bomb village of Shihshow. 8 other B-25 Mitchell medium bombers , supported by 9 P-40 fighters, are dispatched to attack Japanese held village of Hwajung but mistakenly bomb friendly village of Nanhsien, killing over 50 Chinese.

Fifth Air Force. In predawn strike B-25 Mitchell medium bombers bomb Koepang. A-20 Havoc light bombers bomb and strafe airfields at Lae and Malahang while B-25 Mitchell medium bombers blast airfield and general area at Salamaua. A single B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bombs MacDonald's Junction and strafes targets along coast South of Buka.

Seventh Air Force. 1 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) heavy bomber carries out armed photo reconnaissance over Nonouti, Beru, and Nukunau Islands.

Eleventh Air Force. A fighters strip is completed at Shemya. All missions are cancelled due to weather for tenth straight day.
