Ninth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers hit Mn at Bari.

Northwest African Air Forces (NAAF). Northwest African Strategic Air Force (NASAF) B-26 Marauder medium bombers bomb Battipaglia marshalling yard. Fighter-bombers hit factory and barracks near Cagliari. Northwest African Tactical Air Force (NATAF) P-40 fighters and A-36 Apache dive bomber escort Northwest African Strategic Air Force (NASAF) B-26 Marauder medium bombers, and Spitfires fly uneventful tactical reconnaissance over Northeast Sicily and toe of Italy.

Tenth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers fly low-level strike against Myitnge bridge, knocking out a centre span and badly damaging 2 others.

Fifth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb town and airfield of Kendari. B-25 Mitchell medium bombers hit targets in Aroe Islands. B-25 Mitchell medium bombers pound Kela. B-25 Mitchell medium bombers hit Marawasa, Finschhafen, and Lillum Saun.

Thirteenth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers and P-39 fighters strafe targets on Wagina Island.
