Twelfth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) A-36 Apache dive bomber bomb road, trucks, and town area at Pontecorvo. P-40 fighters, with a few South African Air Force (SAAF) Spitfires, hit motor launch in Peljesae Channel.

Fifteenth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-26 Marauder medium bombers pound Pisa, Porta Nuova area, scoring especially damaging hits in marshalling yards. B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers hit Bolzano marshalling yard. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers hit Pordenone marshalling yard and targets at Vicenza. B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers of 2 groups fail to locate targets due to bad weather, and many fighters ticketed for escort duty fail to rendezvous with light bombers in the overcast skies.

Fourteenth Air Force. 2 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers claim heavy damage to passenger ship South of Hong Kong.

Fifth Air Force. Cape Gloueester is subjected to almost around the clock air attacks by 180 B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, B-26 Marauder medium bombers, and A-20 Havoc light bombers. A-20 Havoc light bombers attack Japanese forces in Arawe area where Allied outposts and observation posts are being pushed back by fierce enemy assaults on beachhead.

Thirteenth Air Force. A few United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, fighting bad weather, attack Rabaul area, concentrating on Lakunai airfield. Covering fighters claim 13 aeroplanes shot clown. 2 P-38 Lightning fighters are lost.

Seventh Air Force. 10 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) A-24 Banshee dive bomber from Makin, supported by P-39 fighters, attack Mille, hitting runway, ammunition storage, and an antiaircraft position
