Eighth Air Force. 40 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) heavy bombers hit Reims, Champagne air depot. Bad weather prevents bombing by more than 160 other heavy bombers dispatched to targets in North France.

Twelfth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) Fighters, light bombers, and medium bombers of XII A Support Command, Northwest African Tactical Bomber Force (NATBF), and Desert Air Force (DAF) patrol battle zone, escort convoys, carry out bombing and strafing sweeps against motor transport in Benevento, Melfi area and North of Foggia, bomb Pomigliano landing ground, and hit town of Sarno and military concentrations to the North. Bad weather prevents XII Bomber Command heavy bomber missions.

Fifth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb But and Dagua airfields. P-38 Lightning fighters claim 9 enemy fighters shot down in But Dagua, Wewak areas. Other B-24 Liberator heavy bombers hit Nubia and Potsdam Plantations.

Thirteenth Air Force. 21 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, covered by 14 P-38 Lightning fighters, bomb bivouac near Kahili. 30 P-40 fighters and P-39 fighters and 15 Navy F4U Corsair fighter support more than 50 Navy dive bombers in strike on Kahili airfield hangar area and gun positions at Kangu Hill and Jakohina.
