Northwest African Air Forces (NAAF). Northwest African Strategic Air Force (NASAF) B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers bomb marshalling yard at Terni. B-26 Marauder medium bombers hit Aversa marshalling yard and Sparanise. B-25 Mitchell medium bombers hit Cancello Arnone marshalling yard. P-40 fighters fly intruder mission over Sardinia, bombing and strafing industry and town area. Northwest African Tactical Air Force (NATAF) light bombers and medium bombers attack railroad facilities at Lamezia and Catanzaro. Fighter-bombers hit road and rail junctions, and marshalling yards at Castrovillari, Cosenza, and Catanzaro.

Fifth Air Force. 26 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers bomb and strafe dumps and shipping in Hansa Bay area, sinking a small freighter, a power launch, and 8 barges and luggers. 20 B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers and A-20 Havoc light bombers bomb jetties at Lae and Voco Point and hit barges in Samoa Harbour between Lae and Salamaua.

Thirteenth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, P-40 fighters, and Navy F4U Corsair fighter Corsair fighters bomb and strafe barges, buildings, and personnel in Sigolehe Islands Barora Ite Island area.
