a convoy from Benghazi to Alexandria when she struck a mine and sank off Derna
on 9 February 1943

Tenth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-40 fighters from Dinjan
knock out bridge near Kazu and bomb and strafe Nsopzup. 6 B-25 Mitchell medium
bombers from Kunming, with fighters escort, bomb storage area at Mangshih. 8 B-25
Mitchell medium bombers from Ondal hit Thazi railroad junction.
Air Force. A lone B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers bombs Lae airfield.
Thirteenth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-38 Lightning
fighters and Navy aircraft attack Vila airfield. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers
bomb Kahili airfield and hit Ballale Island.
Eleventh Air Force. Reconnaissance
mission is flown over Kiska, Buldir, Semichis, Attu, and Agattu, with negative
results. 6 B-24 Liberator heavy bombers and 6 B-25 Mitchell medium bombers bomb
