Eighth Air Force. 52 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers attack V-weapon site at Saint-Pol, Siracourt, using blind bombing technique.

Tenth Air Force. 50 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-40 fighters, A-36 Apache dive bomber, and P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers, along with a single B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, pound troops and supply areas at Shedwiyang and near Kamaing, bomb town of Shaduzup, and hit storage areas near Manywet and Malakawng.

Fifth Air Force. 12 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers hit enemy positions and command at Lorengau as landings on small offshore islands continue with beachhead being established on Hauwei Island. 40 B-24 Liberator heavy bombers B-26 Marauder medium bombers, and A-20 Havoc light bombers hit Wewak area.

Thirteenth Air Force. 22 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, with Navy fighters cover, pound Rabaul area, concentrating on North rim of Simpson Harbour. 18 B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, with Navy fighters cover, follow with strike against Rabaul customs wharf area. The heavy bomber strike is followed by an attack on town area of Rabaul by 64 P-40 fighters, P-38 Lightning fighters, and P-39 fighters.

Seventh Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers from Tarawa bomb Mille, Wotje, Maloelap, and Nauru. B-25 Mitchell medium bombers hit Jaluit.
