Fourteenth Air Force. 25 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers and P-38 Lightning fighters bomb or strafe ammunition and supply dumps, river, road, and rail traffic, and coastal shipping around Laohokow, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Tinpak, Hongay, Mon Cay, Vinh, Koyiu, and Yutze.

Far East Air Force (FEAF). On this date Seventh Air Force officially joins Fifth and Thirteenth Air Forces as part of Far East Air Force (FEAF). A-26 Invader light bombers hit Taiharo refinery and warehouse area. P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers over West coast blast railroad targets. P-47 Thunderbolt fighters sweep North China coast and attack coastal cargo vessels North West of Tinghai. Fighter-bombers support ground forces in Mankayan and Kiangan areas and hit enemy positions in Ipo-Infanta sector. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers support ground forces on Negros Island, bombing area Northeast of Mount Mandalagan. Other B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb airstrips at Boeloedowang, Limboeng, Mapanget, and Tanamon and Japanese Headquarters at Sindjai.

Seventh Air Force. The Seventh is assigned from Army Air Forces, Pacific Ocean Areas (AAFPOA) and overall operational control by the Navy to Far East Air Force (FEAF). Seventh Air Force units in the Ryukyus, operating under Tactical Air Force, Ryukyus (Tenth Army Tactical Air Force) since April when first element of the Headquarters Seventh Air Force arrived, are now under operational control of Headquarters Seventh Air Force which opens in Okinawa on this clate. Move from Saipan takes place between 18 June 1945 and 28 July 1945.

VII Fighter Command. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) fighters from Iwo Jima sent on strike against Meiji and Kagamigahara abort because of weather.
