Fourteenth Air Force. 4 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers blast Dong Anh railroad yards. 36 P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers and P-38 Lightning fighters hit river traffic, rail targets, coastal shipping, enemy positions, trucks, and other targets around Viet Tri and other areas of Indochina and near Yoyang, Suichwan, Lingling, Chikhom, Kukong, and Dosing.

Far East Air Force (FEAF). Approximately 150 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, and A-26 Invader light bombers, covered by 64 P-47 Thunderbolt fighters, hit Shanghai area, airfields at Chiang Wan, Wusung, and Lunghua, Shanghai docks, shipping on Whangpoo River, and airstrips on Chusan Island. Other P-47 Thunderbolt fighters attack various targets on Kyushu and P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers attack command lines, bridges, shipping, towns, and other targets throughout Kyushu and the Ryukyus. P-38 Lightning fighters hit command and transportation targets throughout North part of Formosa while B-24 Liberator heavy bombers pound airfield at Matsuvama. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb Boetoeng and Watampone, B-25 Mitchell medium bombers hit Jesselton, and P-38 Lightning fighters attack Langkon. P-38 Lightning fighters hit Japanese concentration along Kibawe trail.

Eleventh Air Force. 2 routine search and weather sorties are flown.
