Ninth Air Force. General Sanders becomes Commanding General 9th Air Division.

Fourteenth Air Force. 5 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers knock out railroad bridge North of Anyang. 30 fighter-bombers attack railroad targets, truck convoys, bridges, and other targets around Anyang, Sichuan, Kuolueh-chen, Kuantaokou, Luntangpu, Tioupo Tanhokow, Sinsiang, Nanyang, Kiehsiu, Linfen, Taiyuan, Puchou, and Yutze.

Far East Air Force (FEAF). United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers pound Cagayan Valley targets including Aparri. B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, A-20 Havoc light bombers, and P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers hit numerous targets throughout the Valley and in North West and South Luzon, including Vira, Callang, Santa Cruz, Baguio, Balete Pass, Ipo, and Antipolo areas. Fighter-bombers also support ground forces on Negros. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, and P-38 Lightning fighters attack Fort Brook, Bintula, Tawau, Beaufort, Jesselton, along the Lawas River, and Malinau.

Twentieth Air Force. During 24-25 May 1945, 25 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-29 Superfortress heavy bomber's lay mines in Shimonoseki Strait and at Niigata, Nanao, and Fushiki.

Seventh Air Force. 26 Guam based United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers pound airfield and surrounding area on Marcus. P-47 Thunderbolt fighters fly heckler strikes against Kyushu during 24-25 May 1945.

VII Fighter Command. 120 Iwo Jima based United States Army Air Force (USAAF) fighters dispatched against Matsudo and Tokorozawa abort because of weather.
