Fourteenth Air Force. 32 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers and 8 P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers bomb city of Nanyang, hit railroad yards at Anyang, damage bridge approach at Chuanhsien, and bomb ferries at Ninh Binh and Dap Cau. 40 fighters bomb and strafe rail, river, and road traffic and general targets throughout South and East China.

Far East Air Force (FEAF). United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, A-20 Havoc light bombers, and fighter-bombers hit Cagayan Valley targets while other fighter-bombers support ground actions in Cervantes, Balete Pass, and Ipo battle zones and hit forces East of Manila. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb Melak, Asa, and Kuching airfields and Tarakan and Labuan Islands, while B-25 Mitchell medium bombers and fighters concentrate on Tuaran, Mensalung, and Kudat. Heavy bombers pound Taito.

Twentieth Air Force. 473 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-29 Superfortress heavy bomber's pound city of Kobe with incendiaries. 11 very heavy bombers are lost. United States gunners claim 86 fighters downed. The attack burns off over 4 squadron miles and damage over half of the city.

Seventh Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-47 Thunderbolt fighters from Ie Shima patrol over Amami Gunto. Lighthouse is strafed.
