Ninth Air Force. Headquarters Ninth Air Force moves from Chantilly to Bad Kissingen.

Fourteenth Air Force. 11 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers and 9 P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers bomb railroad yards North of Siaokan and damage bridges, strafe gun positions, and attack general targets around Saiping and Hwaynan. 30 fighters bomb or strafe bridges near Chihsien and Fengstun and hit troops, railroad targets, and targets around Linfen, Laohokow, Changsha, Peking, Kweilin, Dap Cau, and Thanh Hoa.

Far East Air Force (FEAF). United States Army Air Force (USAAF) A-20 Havoc light bombers and fighter-bombers blast bridges in Cagayan Valley. Other fighter-bombers pound Balete Pass area. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, and fighter-bombers hit Labuan supply areas, support troops on Tarakan, and bomb Kota Waringin and Pontianak airfields, areas along Belait River, around Brunei, and strike Miri, Jesselton, Kudat, and Beaufort. Bad weather cancels all missions against Formosan targets.

Seventh Air Force. 12 Guam based United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers hit oil storage buildings on Eten. 36 Ie Shima based P-47 Thunderbolt fighters, sweeping South part of Kyushu, hit numerous targets with rockets and machine gun fire, and claim 9 aircraft downed. In the Ryukyus, Ie Shima based P-47 Thunderbolt fighters patrol over Amami Gunto, strafing lighthouse and buildings.
