Eighth Air Force. 78 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) heavy bombers hit industries at Solingen using blind bombing equipment. 200 aircraft abort due to cloud formations which cause assembly difficulties and which require flying at altitudes not feasible for the B-24 Liberator heavy bombers included in the mission.

Twelfth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) A-20 Havoc light bombers, operating in conjunction with light bombers of South African Air Force (SAAF) and The British Royal Air Force (RAF) attack ground installations and defended areas around Lanciano, Fossacesia, Orsogna, Castelfrentano, and Guardiagrele. Fighter-bombers, (United States, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), South African Air Force (SAAF), The British Royal Air Force (RAF)) hit prearranged targets in battle area, and by hitting targets on roads between Lanciano to Mozzagrogna aid in defeating counter-attack against United States 34th Infantry Division on Monte Pantano.

Fifteenth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-26 Marauder medium bombers attack Monte Molino railroad bridge, Montalto di Castro, and in areas around Bastia and Torgiano. Accuracy is severely hampered by overcast. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, with P-38 Lightning fighters escort, bomb Fiume through overcast.

Fourteenth Air Force. 6 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-40 fighters bomb fuel and ammunition dump at Luchiangpa. 8 others strafe several boats on lake Southeast of Ansiang. Supplies are dropped to Chinese troops in Changte.

Fifth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb Cape Gloucester airfield. B-25 Mitchell medium bombers bomb and strafe villages along coast from Borgen Bay to Riebeck Bay. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers hit Alexishafen. B-25 Mitchell medium bombers and A-20 Havoc light bombers attack Kalasa and hit trucks in Waroe area.

Thirteenth Air Force. 17 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers bomb Malai on Shortland Island. Fighter aircraft (Army Air Force and Navy) attack barges and antiaircraft guns at Tonolai, Southeast coast of Ballale Island, North West tip of Choiseul Island, Amun above Cape Moltke, Numa Numa, and Chabai. Others cover dive bombers attacking Jakohina Mission area, gun positions at Kangu and Malabita Hill, and in Mosigetta area. A few B-34 Lexington bomber hit Mawareka area.

Seventh Air Force. 10 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers from Canton Island strike Maloelap. 20 others, sent against the same target from Nanumea, run into bad weather. 2 attack cargo ship and other vessels near Maloelap, the remaining 18 return to base without attacking.
