                    including marshalling yards at Stendal and Birkenwerder, rail 
                    sidings at Gardelegen, rail centre at Wittenberge, road bridge 
                    at Gusen, and town of Havelberg. 14 fighters groups in close 
                    escort and 1 in area patrol fly 732 effective support sorties.
                    
                    Ninth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) 9th 
                    Bomber Division A-20 Havoc light bombers, A-26 Invader light bombers, and B-26 
                    Marauder medium bombers attack command centres at Neunkirchen 
                    and Pirmasens, marshalling yards at Turkismuhle and Erbach, 
                    3 antiaircraft positions, and several other targets, as well 
                    as dropping leaflets on Koblenz. Fighters hit Overberge marshalling 
                    yard and other targets, escort 9th Bomber Division, fly sweeps 
                    and armed reconnaissance, and support United States XII Corps 
                    crossing Mosel in offensive toward the Rhine, and XX Corps 
                    East of Trier and Saarbrucken.
                    
                    Twelfth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 
                    Mitchell medium bombers attack railroad bridges and fills 
                    at Salzano, Canale d'Isonzo, Rovereto, Palazzolo sull'Oglio, 
                    Romano di Lombardia, and Mori. Fighters and fighter-bombers 
                    of XXII Tactical Air Command concentrate on command lines 
                    in Northeast Italy, particularly the Brenner rail line, and 
                    also blast several supply and ammunition dumps. Light bombers 
                    continue intruder missions during

                    March 1945, hitting Po River crossings and fills in San Ambrogio 
                    di Valpolicella area.
                    
                    Fifteenth Air Force. 109 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) 
                    B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers bomb Ruhland oil refinery 
                    marking the Fifteenth's deepest penetration into Germany. 
                    103 others bomb alternate target of Kolin refinery. 470 other 
                    heavy bombers attack targets in Austria, including Moosbierbaum, 
                    Schwechat, and Vienna, Floridedorf oil refineries, marshalling 
                    yards at Wiener Neustadt, Sankt Polten, Graz, Bruck an der 
                    Mur, Klagenfurt, and Murzzuschlag, and bridge at Klagenfurt. 
                    Supply missions to North Italy and Yugoslavia continue, along 
                    with extensive photo and weather reconnaissance. Fighters 
                    fly over 300 sorties in escort of heavy bombers and supply 
                    and reconnaissance flights.
                    
                    Tenth Air Force. 30 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-47 
                    Thunderbolt fighters support elements of Chinese 50th Division 
                    in Namhsan area. 32 P-38 Lightning fighters sweep roads South 
                    of bomb line. Transports fly 625 sorties to forward areas.
                    
                    Fourteenth Air Force. 4 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) 
                    B-24 Liberator heavy bombers claim 1 vessel sunk in South 
                    China Sea. 4 B-25 Mitchell medium bombers hit area East of 
                    Pingsiang. 4 P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers hit locomotives 
                    between Sinsiang and Shihkiachwang and 4 attack motor transport 
                    in Paotou area.
                    
                    Far East Air Force (FEAF). In support of United States ground 
                    forces on Luzon United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 
                    Liberator heavy bombers, A-20 Havoc light bombers, and P-38 
                    Lightning fighters hit Headquarters area at Baguio. P-47 Thunderbolt 
                    fighters hit Minuli bridge and enemy concentrations in Balete 
                    Pass and West of Fort Stotsenburg. A-20 Havoc light bombers 
                    and P-47 Thunderbolt fighters hit gun positions and occupied 
                    areas around Batangas. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers and B-25 
                    Mitchell medium bombers hit personnel North of Sarangani Bay 
                    and troops and gun positions in Zamboanga area. B-24 Liberator 
                    heavy bombers bomb Lahug. P-47 Thunderbolt fighters dive-bomb 
                    Takao power installations.
