History

The NSFK (Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps) was a paramilitary organisation that was founded in the early 1930s when a German air force was prohibited by the Treaty of Versailles. The NSFK directed military aviation training in gliders and private aeroplanes. When the Luftwaffe was formed many NSFK members transferred. But the organisation continued to exist after the Luftwaffe was established, but to a much smaller scale. Gliders were used through out World War II which were constructed using the simplest of materials, Which allowed the Luftwaffe to drop men and equipment behind enemy lines undetected.
