Amphibious Vehicles

History

Amphibious vehicles are very important part in river and beach landing operations, to ferry troops and cargo to the shore. During World War II the most significant amphibious car was the Schwimmwagen, a 4 x 4 vehicle designed by the F. Porsche GmbH engineering firm in 1942 and widely used in World War II. using the engine and drive train of the Kübelwagen.
