History

With development of fully tracked and self-propelled artillery. There became a need for fully tracked armoured observation vehicle (Beobachtung Fahrzeuge), which allowed the artillery commander to go further forward and be able to give orders direct to artillery units further back, These Artillerie Panzerbeobachtungwagen had extra radios fitted.
