The main ammunition round used was Panzergranate 39 which could penetrate up to 41 mm of armour plate at a range of 100 metres and 35 mm at a range of 500 metres, also the Panzergranate 40 armour piercing round was used, which could penetrate armour plates 64 mm at a range of 100 metres, it's armour piercing capabilities were drastically reduced, as the range increased to only 34 mm at 500 metres also this round was not as common due to the fact that tungsten was in short supply.
