The 8.8 cm KwK 36 L/56 or (8.8 cm Kampfwagenkanone 36 L/56) and was the main armamemet for
Tiger I Ausf. E

VK4501(H) Panzer VI
VK4501(P) Panzer VI

The main ammunition round used was the Panzergranate 39 and Panzergranate 40 which could penetrate up to 120 mm of armour plate at a range of 100 metres and 83 mm at a range of 2,000 metres, The 8.8 cm KwK 36 L/56 was probably amongst one of the most feared weapons during World War II due to the fact that it was extremely accurate.
